In the summer of 2014 I became unofficially official and today became official single.
This has been a long time coming. Sometimes in life people just meet at the wrong time. Who knows why this is the case. I shutter to think that maybe there is some truth to the notion that there are temporary soul mates. People that are meant to be in you life for an indeterminate amount of time, in an effort to fulfill some sort of life need. If this is truly the case, then I can see where both parties have grown and learned. Although the ending of a chapter is often difficult, we all seem to manage to get through them somehow, and the next is just as bad.
Moving on to wine… I got a bottle of Mark West Pinot Noir yesterday. I was craving something smooth and satisfying and this one stands out as one of the best. (side note; you can always tell what kind of wine I’m drinking by the tone of my posts)
What to do now to occupy my mind?
surf the web of course! I’m scrolling around Higher Perspectives site because I was stricken by a post claiming that you can train or, help yourself fall asleep in under a minute. It’s called the “4-7-8” breathing trick. (I would have gone with method rather than breathing trick) The site says that the method was developed by a Dr. Andrew Weil, a wellness practitioner who studies meditation, breathing and how it can be used to counteract stress. If this works then, boy have I stumbled across the right page at the right time!
The website says that its as simple as pie (which I love!)
- Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
- Hold for 7 seconds
- Breathe out through your mouth for 8 seconds
I will be sure to give this a try tonight. It sounds simple enough to not annoy me….
